Tim Schwartz lives in Scranton, PA with his wonderful wife Jenn and incredibly awesome three kids – Emma, Nathan and Gabe.  He is a pastor by trade and professional volunteer in life.  His favorite volunteering experiences in the last decade are in disaster recovery after Hurricane Ike in Galveston, TX, as president of the PTA at his local elementary school, and as basketball coach at the elementary school.

Tim was diagnosed with brain cancer in February 2010.  He had brain surgery in April 2010 to remove 40-50% of the tumor.  Surgery was followed by 18 months of chemotherapy.  Tim lives a mostly normal life – except he is consumed by tiredness and if he gets worn down too much, he gets sick.
